Special on the Public Meeting in Glenroy in early December, discussing ways to pressure the Victorian government to commit to funding public schools NOW. Some of the issues at play are-
1. The fact that Victorian public schools are among the least funded in the country.
2. Victorian teachers are the lowest paid in the country.
3. "Full" Gonski funding is not scheduled until 2031, and even then is the BARE MINIMUM as it only claims to bring basic numeracy and literacy to 80% of students.
4. The community NEEDS to support teachers in any industrial action they may be forced to take.
