Labor's glacially slow movement on issues of inequality in school funding -  ANOTHER panel of experts to look at NSRAs will be convened. Private school building boom sparks a backlash from local communities - while public schools rely on temporary, portable, demountable tin sheds for classrooms wit no funding for capital grants in the foreseeable future, private schools pour millions into orchestra pits, castle-style libraries, olympic swimming pools and sports centres. Locals demand consultation as residents worry about over-developement. Wealthiest private schools are breaching student caps by the hundreds, affecting traffic levels, locals' views among other community issues. The schools have been going over their caps for years because they are BUSINESSES, some charging up to $40,000 per student, so why would they turn a CUSTOMER away? U.S.- right wing groups white-washing the history curriculum taught in public schools.
