Pre-eminent social enterprise Big Issue has announced that they will be starting a new social enterprise to raise money for social housing. Homes for Homes is essentially a voluntary tax for people who are selling property. We ask whether the whole concept of the social enterprise, that is applying business principles to social problems, is the best way to provide services.
