Cecile Barral & Oceane Campbell - The Silence Between Us

Wednesday, 20 October 2021 - 5:00pm to 5:30pm

Tonight on Brainwaves we speak to Cecile Barral & Oceane Campbell. Together they have co-written a raw and original double memoir The Silence Between Us as a conversation between mother and daughter.  It centres on Oceane’s high lethality suicide attempt as an 18 year old (almost 20 years ago), and is based on private diary entries written by Oceane and her mum at the time as they process their shock, fear and grief and try to work together to heal. We will chat with Cecile & Oceane about the healing process of writing this book together and how that has helped their recovery.
