Our speaker today is Sona Kazemi – a research fellow of Migration Studies, Disability Studies, and Medical Humanities at the Ohio State University. Sona researches the living conditions of people who become injured/disabled as a result of wars, incarceration, torture, gendered violence, punitive limb amputation, genocide, and political instability in the Middle East, namely Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraqi-, and Syrian Kurdistan.
