May Day is the workers day all around the world. Its been celecrated on the 1st of May for well over a century. In Melbourne, over the last decades, the official May Day march has been on the first Sunday after the 1st of May. We discuss the reasons behind this and attempts to have marches and events held on the 1st of May itself.
