Indian workers fighting back

Saturday, 23 March 2019 - 9:00am to 9:30am

The BJP government of India, headed by President Modi is the most right wing Indian government since Independence. It has quite clear fascist expressions and has unleashed an unrelenting attack on workers wages and conditions under the guise of making 'India great'

There are constant actions and strikes by workers against these attacks. On the 3rd of March there was a big rally in the capital New Delhi for the right to work.

APC interviewed Shivani from Bigul Mazdoor Dasta and the Campaign for Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act, and Abhinav, Editor of Workers Political Monthly, 'Mazdoor Bigul', to talk about this rally, ongoing organising efforts in India and the upcoming national elections
