3CR will bring listeners Beyond the Bars 2025 during NAIDOC Week. Our First Nations broadcasters will share the mic with inmates across six Victorian prisons 7-11 July. We'll be live on the radio at 3CR 855AM, 3CR Digital, and streaming via our website or the Community Radio Plus app.
2025 marks 24 years on air and you can listen back to more than two decades of broadcasts anytime online. Beyond the Bars receives financial support from the Community Broadcasting Foundation, the Koori Justice Unit and Corrections Victoria at the Department of Justice and Regulation, and Yarra City Council.
Original artwork by Jason, 'Eels Running'. From Jason: 'the eel is of great importance to us Gunditjmara people and this story is of when the wattle is blooming on the trees, that is when the eels are running and that is of great importance for our people to know.'
