Last kilometre freight in the big city

Monday, 28 November 2016 - 10:00am to 10:30am

Val and Faith kick off this week's show with a quick wrap of news including the $1.33 million dollars in revenue raised by the NSW government from cyclists, dropping numbers in Sydney cyclists and issues raised around the safety of carbon forks. We also introduce this week's studio guest, Blane Muntz of Cargone Couriers and share our bicycle moments.

Blane tells us about the development of his business as a last kilometre freight provider and we discuss this in the contect of the City of Melbourne Last Kilometre Freight Plan. With more competition for shared spaces in the CBD, Melbourne like other cities worldwide is looking for innovative ways for businesses to move freight around.
