Today on the show we are broadcasting the speech given by world-renowned academic, activist and prison abolitionist Professor Angela Davis during the opening panel of the 7th Sisters Inside Conference held in Brisbane in October. Sisters Inside is an organization which advocates for women in the criminal justice system. Their bi-annual conference imagines alternatives to the current system of imprisonment. Professor Davis has worked closely with Sisters Inside for many years and is a regular keynote speaker at the conference.
