Episode 2 - BUILDING OUR FUTURE

Guests:

Abigail Boyd - NSW Parliament -  Greens MLC  We talk about getting the Energy sector back into Public hands as we make the big transition from centralised utilities to a multiplicity of providers. Denmark leads the world in Wind Power with publicly owned energy. In the Netherlands it is illegal to privatize water or energy networks.

A Rally against Reckless Renewables  was held outside the Federal Parliament on its first day of sitting. Figures like Barnaby Joyce called for a suspension of wind and solar farms.  They want to end the ban on nuclear energy in Australia. John Grimes from the Smart Energy Council called out the toxic rhetoric and said "Its outrageous that David Littleproud is calling for a moratorium on renewables putting more than 60,000 Australian Renewable Energy Jobs under threat". We will delve into this some more next week.
