Prof Michael J. Aziz, Gene and Tracy Sykes Professor of Materials and Energy Technologies at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) is developing a flow battery that stores energy through biodegradable organic materials. With US Department of Energy funding, this organic flow battery is set to be the storage solution for the intermittancy of renewable energy.
