On Monday 20 January for 3CR broadcast live from the commemoration of the two freedom fighters - Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner - who were executed 178 years ago.

The Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner Commemoration Committee held a public ceremony at the Tunnerminnerwait & Maulboyheenner monument on the corner of Victoria and Franklin Streets, Melbourne to honour all indigenous people who have suffered under the ongoing colonisation process.  

Speakers in order of appearance:   Joe Toscano (MC), Jeanette Rowe (Boonwurrung), Robbie Thorpe (Gunai Kurnai), Les Thomas (musician), Lidia Thorpe (Gunai Kurnai), Cathy Oake (Greens Councillor), Porobibi (West Papuan student activist),  Peter (musician) and Larry (Pangerang).
