Victoriana Gaye are husband and wife New Wave Psych Folk duo Viki Phillip and Jeff Raglus on guitar, vocals, harmonica and trumpet and are introducing tracks from their 6th album Happy Abduction. The album was recorded with a full compliment of fabulous musicians and produced by Shane O’Mara at his Yikesville Studio.
Victoriana Gaye have been described as Patti Smith meet the Seekers, Herb Albert meets the B52's and their favourite,Tori Amos meets Benny Hill.
The songs themselves are drawn from a diverse and broad musical knowledge, which includes jazz, classic movie soundtracks, reggae, sunny psychedelia and their own blend of indie/folk/rock.
They've toured and played their original tunes at festivals and venues in Japan, New Caledonia, the UK, Europe and continue to play locally and tour around Australia. Keep an eye out for Victoriana Gaye at a venue near you.
