May Day broadcast

On Wednesday May 1, we bring you discussions on workers' rights, industrial actions, the labour movement, and fair working conditions for everyone. Hear about indigenous rights, social justice, international solidarity, work safety, community building, un/under-employment, campaign updates, workers' songs, and more. It’s going to be a huge day! Beyond the Bars 2019

In 2019 we celebrated NAIDOC Week with Beyond the Bars  ... featuring stories, songs, opinions and poems from the men and women in the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Barwon Prison, Fulham Correctional Centre, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Karreenga Annex, Loddon Prison and Port Phillip Prison. The all-Black radio broadcast team presents these special broadcasts for NAIDOC Week each year. You can now listen back to all of our broadcasts online.

2040 Film Fundraiser

Join the Out of the Blue team for a special, fundraising screening of 2040 on Thursday 20 June at 8pm at the Nova Cinema in Carlton. 2040 is the latest film by award winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film), and shows us a possible future we could have if we take on board all the best practice options available now to change our planet. This documentary presents are more ecologically sustainable future. What would it take to achieve this kind of future? Come along to Cinema Nova with the Out of the Blue team for a drink, a fantastic documentary and together we can save the world. Important: As this is a fundraising event, we will not be offering refunds. We can, however, transfer the ticket into another name. Completada Bailable fundraiser

Come along to our Completada Bailable/Danceable Feast! Saturday 8 June at Moreland City Bandroom, 16 Cross Street, East Brunswick, from 6pm. Live music by Abraham Alejandro Dunovitslittle chilli and Stinky Grrl, Dj Twins, DJ Twin Grace and DJ Otorongo spinning dance tunes. Entry is $10 with a completo (Chilean hot dog/vegetarian/vegan alternative available).  NO BYO, drinks for sale, we will be selling wine and beer. We will also have delicious kombucha kindly donated by the good brew company. Join us for a fun night of food and dancing for a good cause!

Partly we fear this time of year, and partly we love it! We love the rallying of community, and generosity of our listeners, and the commitment everyone shows to strong, independent airwaves. Behind Closed Doors is a new show providing a safe space to explore the world of sex work. Your peer hosts will chat with a wide variety of guests, focusing on those voices that are rarely heard. We’ll talk to workers and allies alike, making sure to always put the interests of sex workers first. Change the Rules rally 10 April nationwide

Workers will rally right around the country on Wednesday 10 April and at 3CR we'll be bringing listeners live coverage of the Melbourne rally. Transgender Vic presents Trans Day of Visibility 2019

Sunday 31 March is International Day of Trans Visibility. 3CR joins Transgender Victoria for a panel discussion on Trans Voices of Colour hosted by Mama Alto and Sally Goldner.
