3CR is now streaming over the web, so you can listen to 3CR with your computer no matter where you are.

FOR BROADBAND USERS

If you have a broadband internet connection, then you can listen to 3CR using the most common MP3 players, such as iTunes and WinAmp (but not Realplayer). Just click on the MP3 logo (or the 'Broadband' button on the left of this page) and connent.

FOR DIALUP USERS

If you have a dialup (or similar speed) internet connection, you can listen to 3CR through an aacPlus player. If you don't have a compatible player, you need to first install a player to listen to our dialup streams. Then, click on one of the aacPlus logos (or one of the 'Dialup' buttons on the left of the page) to listen.

Our dialup stream should work with even slow connections, but provides excellent quality by using aacPlus (MP4). Install a compatible player to hear it; the results are wonderful!

(3CR is streaming aacPlus from a ShoutCast server. Realplayer, iTunes & some older media players do NOT currently support this format.)

Here are some players that support aacPlus :-

Microsoft Windows

	WinAmp is cheeky and fun. The free Lite version will work fine, even on Windows 98. IE users: just select the stream in Step 2, and you're away! Mozilla/Netscape users: select the stream for your connection in step 2, and open it with Winamp. Done!
	FooBar2000 is a free player with many features. For 2000/XP only. After installation, open your browser and click on a link below for your connection. If a question appears to open or save the link, choose open, and find the FooBar2000 program. FooBar2000 will then start reading the stream.
	Windows Media Player will only read our dialup stream if you install the Orban aacPlus plugin. For 2000/XP only.

Cross Platform (Windows/Mac/Linux etc.)

	VLC Player is an open source work under the GPL. A great video player too. Gives good results on Apple Mac
	MPlayer is a particularly flexible program. Popular for Linux / Unix based systems.

Note: If you're not using your own computer, you may not have the permissions to install software. Ask your system administrator to do it.
