Doctors for Refugees I East Timor Calling I 2012 Nurses dispute revisited I Dr Noah Bassil & the US election mop up

Saturday, 12 November 2016 - 7:30am to 9:00am

Speakers at the Sydney Doctors for Refugees on 5-11-2016 give a clear picture of why pressure must be kept up to change Australia's Refugee Policy. Dr David Berger (Doctors for Refugees) recounts his grandfathers experience of rejection as a German Jew during World War 11; Dr Steward Condon (MSF) gives an up-to-date account of the situation at refugee camps; Dr Munjed Al- Murderis who arrived from Iraq by boat is a living testimony of the false stereotype of refugees arriving by boat to these shores. This rally (and others around the country) was called to celebrate the end of draconian laws against health professionals naming abuse in detention centres.

40 years of 3CR looks back at East Timor Calling and the Stick Together report on the 2012 Nurses Dispute.

This is the Week that was a satirial look at the week.

Dr Noah Bassil and the hosts talk about the state of US politics and what it might mean for Australia.
