Radicalisation and the Islamophobia Industry

J&T interview Arun Kundnani on radicalisation and radicalisation theory.  Arun Kundnani is the author of 'The Muslims are Coming! Islamophobia, Extremism and the Domestic War on Terror'- a powerful critique of US surveillance of American Muslims. His book, 'The End of Tolerance: Racism in 21st Century Britain', was selected as a New Statesman book of the year in 2007. He is former editor of the journal, Race & Class, he was educated at Cambridge University and holds a PhD from London Metropolitan University. He is currently a lecturer at New York University.

This is followed by an interview with Nathan Lean on the Islamophobia Industry. Nathan Lean is a writer and scholar of the Middle East. Nathan holds a Masters degree in International Studies (Middle East) from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Arab Studies (Arab Politics) from Georgetown University. He is the author of four books, including the award-winning 'The Islamophobia Industry'. His work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, New York Daily News, CNN, Salon and the Christian Science Monitor.
