Judy Wicks, the owner and founder of Philadelphia’s 24-year-old White Dog Cafe, a national leader in the local, living economies movement, co-founder and co-chair of the national Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), is coming to Australia to raise awareness of the importance of local and sustainable businesses and to catalyse sustainable business networks here. Judy is a leading global voice for the importance of local business and resilient local communities, especially as a positive response to climate change, diminishing fossil fuel reserves and global economic corrections.
