3CR Listening Week: 15 - 21 September

For one week a year 3CR listeners and programmers dedicate time to listening to each other's programs and providing feedback. Our programmers really appreciate the feedback and it helps improve the sound of 3CR.

3CR T-Shirt Design Competition

Are you a graphic designer, artist or even a doodler? We are looking for a new T-Shirt design made by lovers of 3CR for our next run of T-shirts! There is a $200 cash prize for the winner, so get creative and send in your design! Competition closes 30 September.

Positon Vacant - Community Language Support Workers

3CR has two exciting new positions available to deliver a 10-month project that seeks to increase access and participation within the station's community language groups. This is a fixed term position for 12 hours a fortnight until October 2015. The station has identified a need to better support our community language programmers who broadcast outside of office hours and lack regular staff contact and support.

Done By Law Trivia Night!

Done By Law, the Federation of Community Legal Centres’ radio show, will be hosting a Trivia Night to help 3CR meet its Radiothon target and pay the bills. This trivia night has it all: dancing, limbo, BYO drinks, food by Gumbo Kitchen and obviously TRIVIA! 3CR's Burning Vinyl is having one last Radiothon Benefit Party for 2014 with these excellent bands: Dead River, Matt Bailey & Band, Ninetynine, and Slow Motion Pictures (featuring Sianna Lee).

Yarra Elders Precious Memories

There are many significant and important elders in the community whose stories are yet to be heard. 3CR's latest project,Yarra Elders Precious Memories, documents a portion of these important stories. Listen in over the coming weeks to Gilla McGuinness' show Precious Memories on Wednesdays 12-2pm as we broadcast these recordings, or go to Yarra Elders to listen online.

Fundraiser Auction - June 24

Come to 3CR Community Radio Station, 21 Smith St Fitzroy, on Tuesday 24 June at 6pm for a fundraising auction for Tuesday Hometime. Kevin Healy from City Limits will be MC and Auctioneer Extraordinare. One of the many great items for auction is Iain MacIntyre's How To Make Trouble And Influence People.
