World Vegan Day, one of the most eagerly anticipated cultural events in Melbourne is occurring on October 31 at the Abbotsford Convent. World Vegan Day 2010 Melbourne is a chance for those interested in food, the environment and animal welfare to explore a healthy lifestyle that is becoming increasingly popular. This year’s event will see more significant use of the Convent facilities and will offer the traditional favourites such as food, culture and campaign stalls, music, cooking demonstrations, raffles, and speed-dating (always a hoot) – with the addition of a regular shuttle-bus taking attendees from Victoria Park station to the venue. The event is kid friendly and there will also be great live music all day! Young Heretics will headline the event, with electrockers 8 Bit Love, Keshie,  John Flanagan & the Begin Agains, Jade Leonard, Kev n Tom, Joe Sampson and the Australian School of Meditation will also perform.
