The Humanitarian Crisis Hub invites community groups advocating for human rights in war and conflict to a series of free workshops designed to improve their practical activism skills and outcomes.

Using New, Alternative and Independent Media for Human Rights Advocacy
Saturday 22 August, 11am - 4pm

Independent media networks now play a vital role in communicating and advocating for human rights. The workshop will explore at how groups can most effectively utilize new, alternative and independent media for their
campaigning work. It will also look at using SMS, Twitter, Facebook for campaigning.

Presenter: Matt Abud

Matt has worked in media development, production, and training in various countries in Asia over the past decade, including East Timor, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
