Hip Hop Corroboree is the official after party for Melbourne Music’s Urban Roots program Saturday afternoon at City Square and is part of Songline’s ongoing commitment to support Aboriginal musicians and to promote reconciliation and healing.

Hip Hop Corroboree will feature some of the best up and coming hip hop artists in the country. Radical Son from Sydney will bring his brand of soulful hip hop to Melbourne after wowing audiences around the country with his powerful stage presence. Lady Lash, who is nominated for the Most Promising New Talent for the 2010 Deadly Awards, fuses jazz, soul and hip hop to make the stage her own. The Yung Warriors have been Melbourne’s premier Aboriginal hip hop group for a few years now and have recently graced stages such as the Big Day Out, Rod Laver Arena and Dreamtime at the G opening ceremony. Massive will showcase some of their best talent as well as featuring performers from Polynesia, Africa and beyond. Hungry for the limelight individual young artists from Massive Hip Hop Choir flex their unique flavas. Expect soulful solos, R’n’B collabs, straight up lyricism straight outta Melbourne's west feat. MCK, Tenicee, Fina, and Mary Napa'a and friends.

The evening will be held together by DJ sets from PBS FM’s Sista Savage. Bertha Brown, 562 Flinders St, Melbourne 8pm - $10/$5
