of Jackie Reem Salloum’s award winning documentary Slingshot Hip Hop

Slingshot Hip Hop is a powerhouse, high energy documentary which weaves together the stories of young Palestinians living in Gaza, West Bank and inside Israel as they discover Hip Hop and employ it as a tool to fight poverty, racism, sexism and Israel’s illegal military occupation.  Through music, word and song, Slingshot Hip Hop, tells the story of young people resisting oppression and occupation and crossing borders to break down the very real walls erected to divide them from each other.

The International Women’s Peace Service in Palestine is a team of international women based in Haris village in the Salfit Governate of the Occupied West Bank.  IWPS provides international accompaniment to Palestinian civilians, documents & non-violently intervenes in human rights abuses, supports non-violent resistance to end the illegal and brutal Israeli military occupation & to oppose the Apartheid wall.



Direct Action is an independent socialist newspaper, which is an active supporter and campaigner for the Palestinian people’s struggle for self-determination and justice.
