Plan for the Day - Dress down - dress black - acknowledge death to the BUSH - bush wreaths !

Media event at the Rally a mock "Bushland Burial" a large coffin on wheels (resembling a car), a native flower wreathe on top, and a Minister (in hard road-construction hat) administering the last rites to the bush land. 


At some stage Sue will be going into Parliament to debate and vote on the motion - we encourage people to wait to hear the result - to make plans to SAVE OUR BUSH & WHO SHOULD RECEIVE OUR BUSH COFFIN & DELIVER ?

1) Sue Penincuik -Greens MLC: To speak on the motion to STOP THE BYPASS & 2010 the Year of Biodiversity.

- BIODIVERSITY in the coffin.

2) Gillian Collins - Friends of Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve - impacts of the Bypass on the Pines - Friends of the Pines to place signs in the coffin.

3) Damon Anderson - Coomoora Reserve - What is to happen with the Reserve if Dingley Bypass is allowed - Place signs in the coffin.

4) Rosemary West - urban growth and the impact on Green Wedges - how Green Wedges provide connectivity to Bush Land - loss of habitat links.

 - Green Wedges - devilbend, other reserves impacted by the Frankston Bypass and property in to coffin.

5) Colin Long - Candidate South-East Metro Upper House -Cultural Heritage - value of Westerfields and what a Vote for Greens will mean in the Year of Biodiversity.

Into the coffin Westerfields and Heritage values of the Bush. (Joyce and Simon Welsh)
