 <strong>FEATURE\: ENERGY AUTONOMY\: The 4TH REVOLUTION &gt\;&gt\; Australian Premiere</strong>
 </p>
 <p>
 Sun\, wind\, hydro and geothermal energy are natural sources accessible to everyone all over the world without making any difference. And they are renewable\, free and available in the long run. Only the widespread knowledge about the possibilities of renewable energy can ignite an international movement and take the absolutely necessary energy transition. <br />
 <br />
 The cinema documentary <strong>ENERGY AUTONOMY\: THE 4TH REVOLUTION</strong> describes the possibility to switch to 100% renewables within the next 30 years by telling the stories of its protagonists\, a prominent environmental activist\, Nobel laureates\, innovative businessmen and politicians. It demonstrates the opportunities which will be provided by the energy revolution regarding the sustainable economic development and social and economic fairness.<br />
 <br />
 Its message\: The transition is possible.  The only precondition\: We need to want it!<br />
 <br />
 <a href=\\"http\://www.energyautonomy.org/index.php?article_id=21&amp\;clang=1\\" title=\\"http\://www.energyautonomy.org/index.php?article_id=21&amp\;clang=1\\">http\://www.energyautonomy.org/index.php?article_id=21&amp\;clang=1</a><br />
 <strong><br />
 THE FUTURE MAKERS</strong><br />
 <br />
 With recent attention on global warming\, there’s been a big focus on the problem\, but what about the solutions. This documentary tells the story of key Australians leading the way on the world stage in renewable energy. Some are designing a future based on models in nature. Others are creating a sustainable energy model for a 21st Century economy. Exploring biomimicry\, solar PV and thermal\, geo-thermal and hot rocks and wave power\, it covers a broad spectrum\, but also brings it down to an Australian context and points out how we still lead the world in some of these technologies. <br />

 <a href=\\"http\://transitionsfilmfestival.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/real-estate1.jpg\\"><img class=\\"alignnone size-full wp-image-195\\" src=\\"http\://transitionsfilmfestival.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/real-estate1.jpg\\" title=\\"Real-Estate\\" width=\\"590\\" height=\\"263\\" /></a>
 </p>
 <p>
 <em>What role did real estate play in the crashing of the global economy?</em>
 </p>
 <p>
 Real Estate 4 Ransom is a new documentary about global property speculation and its impact on the economy. Real Estate 4 Ransom considers changing motivations behind property investment and challenges the notion that the Global Financial Crisis was caused by bank lending alone. Shot over 5 years\, the film focuses an economics lens on many of the big picture issues world politics are grappling to deal with. The 40 min documentary looks at whether genuine freedom has been delivered by the democratic system It investigate the inefficiencies of the economic system and the impact this has on potential homeowners and small businesses. The documentary argues that with a simpler tax system\, entrepreneurs have a better chance to succeed and the average Australian has a better chance of owning their own home.
 </p>
 <p>
 Co-Directors Karl Fitzgerald and Gavin Emmanuel have crafted a 40 minute documentary which features high profile economists\, international guests\, local homebuyers and renters\, all who discuss their perspectives on the state of Australia’s economy. Introduced by Renegade Economist and co-director of the film <a href=\\"http\://www.earthsharing.org.au/renegade-economists/\\">Karl Fitzgerald</a>\, followed by Q &amp\; A discussion on sustainable economics. <a href=\\"http\://realestate4ransom.com/\\">http\://realestate4ransom.com/</a>

SUMMARY:TRANSITIONS FILLM FESTIVAL presents >> 2012\: TIME FOR CHANGE w/ Daniel Pinchbeck
DESCRIPTION:<a href=\\"http\://transitionsfilmfestival.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/eco-visionaries.jpg\\"><img class=\\"alignnone size-full wp-image-201\\" src=\\"http\://transitionsfilmfestival.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/eco-visionaries.jpg\\" title=\\"Eco-Visionaries\\" width=\\"590\\" height=\\"263\\" /></a>
 <strong>“2012\: Time for Change”</strong> presents an optimistic visionary alternative to the apocalyptic doom and gloom of most 2012 prophecies and Hollywood blockbusters. Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim\, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck\, author of the bestselling 2012\: The Return of Quetzalcoatl\, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution\, he suggests we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism\, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition\, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge\, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.
 Featuring interviews with luminary artists\, ecologists\, inventors and philosophers including Sting\, David Lynch\, Ellen Page\, Paul Stamets\, Gilberto Gil\, Shiva Rea\, Tiokasin Ghosthorse\, Barbara Max Hubbard\, Nasseim Haramein\, Dennis McKenna\, Terrence McKenna and Buckminster Fuller.

 </strong>
 </p>
 <p>
 An inspiring and personal story about a group of people building sustainable housing in the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. It serves as an introductory guide to building alternative sustainable housing\, as well as describing\, with the use of animation\, how these buildings offer solutions to today’s most important issues like\: energy\, water\, food\, shelter\, sewerage and recycling.
 </p>
 <p>
 This screening will be the International Premiere of the documentary\, and will be introduced by Michael Reynolds the originator of the earthships bio-architecture concept. Reynolds was made famous through the documentary ‘Garbage Warrior’ which first introduced the ‘earthships’ theory to audiences around the world. Since then\, the DIY rammed earth building style which incorporates rain water catching and recycling\, internal food gardens\, compost toilets and optimal solar design has become famous. Reynolds will be in Australia where he will also be conducting a workshop teaching the revolutionary design principles.
 </p>
 <p>
 The film will also be accompanied by a short film produced by the Jack Thompson Foundation showcasing the important groundbreaking work in creating opportunities for self building of community housing in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory. This will bring the concepts explored in the documentary to a local context\, as well as highlight the potential of lateral thinking solutions to this national issue.
 </p>
 <p>
 After the film a Q&amp\;A with Reynolds will be held to further explore the concepts in the film.
