DESCRIPTION:<p>
 In celebration of NAIDOC week and to <strong>raise community awareness of the significance of the Western Port Coastal Wetlands to the Boon wurrung people</strong>\, the Friends of Warringine Park will host an Indigenous Heritage morning on <strong>Sunday July 5 </strong>at Jack’s Beach Reserve\, Bittern on the Mornington Peninsula.
 </p>
 <p>
  The reserve and the adjoining Mornington Peninsula Shire managed <strong>Warringine Park</strong> protect substantial areas of remnant bushland that complete one of the largest representative samples of coastal mangroves\, salt marshes\, paperbark scrub\, lowland forest and grassy woodland on the western shore of the RAMSAR listed Western Port.
 </p>
 <p>
 <strong>Activities on the day</strong> will include a Welcome to Country ceremony\, a Didgeridoo performance and workshops on Cultural Awareness\, Indigenous cultural artefacts\, bush tucker and traditional basket weaving.  
 </p>
 <p>
 Other activities will include story telling\, indigenous dancers\, tile painting\, face painting and bush tucker food tasting.  
 The <strong>event is free however bookings</strong> are essential and can be made by contacting the Warringine Park office on (03) 5979 1799. 
 </p>
 <p>
 The morning has been partially funded by a Federal Government ‘Caring for our Country Community Coastcare’ grant.

 the USA</strong> and Chair of their Peace and Solidarity Commission. <br />

 She will be
 touring Australia as a guest of the Communist Party and to <strong>participate
 in the actions against the US/Australian Talisman Sabre military
 exercises</strong>.

 discussing current campaigns against US government´s policy of
 permanent warfare\, militarisation and empire-building\, and the need to

 public forum about Indigenous design. There's a global shift in designtowards greater collaboration. In Australia\, designers have learnt
 greatly from working with Indigenous communities. But as with the new
 wave of Indigenous film directors\, there is also an emerging generation
 of Aboriginal designers in fields such as architecture\, fashion and
 interior design. Join a discussion about how our future will be shaped
 by Indigenous design. Panellists’ include Moderator Kevin Murray\,
 Troppo Architects Phil Harris and Adrian Welke\, Aboriginal Designer\,
 Alison Page\, Victorian Traditional Owner\, Gary Murray and Designer and
 Board Member of Icograda\, David Lancashire. Respondents include Vicki
 Couzens Aboriginal Artist and Designer.Supported by the International
 Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda) - Presented as part
 of the State of Design Festival.
