Forget the chocolates & roses..... This Valentine's Day give your lover some peace!

The first ever Make Love Not War peace gig on Valentine's Day is taking place at:
Argyle Square on Lygon Street in Carlton from 7.00 pm. Thursday 14 February.

The gig will include Melbourne social justice salsa & hip hop band The Conch and retro DJ Paul Kidney for you & your lover to groove away to the beat of peace.

The gig will also be the launch of the campaign to Stop the Asia Pacific Defence & Security Exhibition (APDSE): the first major arms fair in Australia since AIDEX 1991.

The largest weapons companies in the world will be coming to Adelaide to display their latest weapons of war and make a killing on the free market.

In a cruel twist of irony the exhibition is due to open on the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day, 11 November 2008, while most of the world stops to remember the horrors rather than the profits of war.
