'While the arts and entertainment sector brings an enormous amount of joy to Australians, recent research has identified that performers, technicians and other support workers experience an unusually high incidence of depression, anxiety and other aspects of mental distress that are also leading to high rates of suicide.' That's a statement on the website for Entertainment Assist, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about mental health in the Australian entertainment industry.

First up, Entertainment Assist general manager Susan Cooper talks about their recently commissioned study that highlighs the fragile mental health of many of those working all across the entertainment business. Then, Ben Steel, director and producer of a documentary on this topic, aptly titled ‘The Show Must Go On’, joins the discussion.
