Art Therapy - Emma Finch

Wednesday, 14 September 2016 - 5:00pm to 5:30pm

Art therapist Emma Finch talks to the Brainwaves team about art therapy and how art can be used as a way of expressing the experience of mental illness. Emma also talks about The Black Dog Art Exhibition which is running from Friday 30th September to Satruday 1st October 2016. This exhibition uses the creative therapies to explore what it is like to live with mental health issues as the “elephant in the room”, with a focus on depression and anxiety. Artworks will be for sale to raise funds for ongoing mental health support groups. The exhibition is being hosted by Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre (34 Amaroo St, Chadstone) and it is a free event.
