Mental Health & Curiosity - Richard Hill

Richard Hill is a psychotherapist who began his career as a professional actor for 25 years, but returned to university at 45 to do a BA in linguistics and went on to complete three Masters degrees with a focus on neurobiology and neuroscience. Richard is interested in how to apply developments in neuroscience into therapeutic practice and what techniques practitioners can utilise to help clients change. On today’s show Richard shares with the Brainwaves team: what is the Curiosity Approach, how the Curiosity Approach can help with people with mental illness, how individuals turn their curiosity on and off what is his Winner/Loser World Theory, how individuals can apply these concepts to therapeutic practice.
