3CR is getting closer to finalising the design of the new mural on the outside of its building at 21 Smith Street Fitzroy.

Local artists Bindi Cole, Tom Civil and Reko Rennie (artwork opposite) will begin work on 15 February.

Come to the second phase of our community consultation to share your ideas and thoughts on the draft mural design.

The designs will also be on display at the station throughout the first week of February for you to leave your comments in a book.

On 20 January 1842 Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner - two Indigenous freedom fighters - were executed on the corner of Bowen and Franklin Streets in Melbourne. A quarter of Victoria's white population came in carnival mood to see the killings.

Join us on Wednesday 20 January from 12 noon to 1pm to commemorate the execution of Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner and to call for the creation of a significant monument on the site they were executed. The commemoration will be broadcast live on 855AM, 20 January 12 noon to 1pm.
